The following information is based on the effect of the year's stars appearing at various directions at the front door of the house or apartment.

Feng Shui in General

Entering into the year of 'Fire element Monkey'; which brings in severe weather inclement conditions such as gale force winds, earthquakes, and severe droughts, as well as flooding in unusual parts of the Southern Hemisphere, causing disasters to both, developed and third world nations.

Due to the extreme weather changes, the frequency of the Typhoon will increase much more than normal. The red-current floating around the sea will also affect the fishing industry cause by the temperature fluctuation in the ocean.

Such severe weather conditions interrupt the natural supply of food chains.

International insecurity and instability will be on an all time high alert ranging from foreign or external threats to internal social unrest.

***For security reasons, it is advisable to switch on the poach light and/or garage door light from dusk to dawn.

For the middle sector

'Yee-Hark' ill-health star approaches into this direction, which will bring minor injuries and sickness, people could feel uncomfortable.
To minimize the effect:

Place blue-colored table-cloth covering the coffee-table in the middle of sitting room.

OR

Place a metal object filled with water. Change or top up water once a week.
Avoid:
 

 

 Placing any red-colored object (symbolizing fire element) around this area.

The orientation of front door

Use any ordinary compass, facing the front door from the middle of your house to define the orientation of the front door. (see diagram below)

East   

Money star is moving to this direction, which will bring money and happy events.
To enhance the effect:
Place green-colored door-mat or carpet at the door area.

Avoid:

Any blue colored object or water features around the door area.

"Ye-Pak" star enters this position will bring in happy events, good business and career.
To enhance the effect:

Place green-colored door-mat or carpet at the front door area.

Avoid:
Any red-colored object around the door area.

'Wealth star' is approaching to this direction, which favors career and business.
To enhance the effect:
Place a brown-colored door-mat or carpet at the door area.

'Mun-cheung star' - is moving into this direction, which influences work and study for further advancement, as well as harmonious atmosphere during meetings and/or gatherings.

North-west

'Sam-Pik' star approaching this direction, bringing in gossip and libelous talk. Arguments and bad relationships are highly indicated. 
To minimize the effect:
Place metal objects around the door area.
